Six years out

I won't go on about the obvious topic of the day. New York as a whole is perhaps a touch less sad today than it was on this day last year, but the city is and probably always will be tangibly haunted by the ghosts of those towers and their occupants. My best thoughts and deepest condolences are with the families of those who were lost.

Shout out to Trent, who has taken to using his insanely popular and decadently irreverent forum to honor 9/11's dead every year.

I would also be remiss if I failed to send a big FUCK YOU out to George W. Bush and his regime, who have not only failed miserably in their so-called "campaign" to bring the culprits of this arguably preventable attack to justice, but rather have bolstered the already virulent anti-American spirit amongst extremists worldwide, thereby exposing the American people to a greater degree of mortal danger than ever before. If there is a hell, Mr. Un-President, may your special place in it be in close proximity to Osama's. And your little Dick, too.

I fucking remember 9/11 every time that shit "President" opens his privileged, asinine, whiny, overgrown frat-boy mouth.

i can always always get on the fuck george bush bandwagon. i hope there is a hot place especially for him and his neocon cronies. that he likely allowed it, then turned 9/11 to his benefit is unspeakable.

i have spent the day thinking of all those who lost loved ones in this terrible disaster. and all of those who have since lost loved ones fighting for lies.

My sentiments exactly. I am hoping the little weasel gets his comeuppance a helluva lot sooner than postmortem, however. He has done more to bring the fall of civilization, than any before him. The smug little fool deserves the torture he has heaped upon so many others outside and inside these borders.

I know I wrote a few of my memories of the day, and they I felt kinda sick about it because George Bush et al have defiled it so--that is sad.

Becky, "defiled" is definitely the word that best describes what the Bush Reich has done to our country, our reputation in the world, and our personal memories of 9/11, not to mention any measure of pride or faith we as Americans may have once held in our government. Good call.
